1. Introduction & Applicability
This Content & Release Policy ("Policy") governs access to and use of World Music, an audio streaming and release service operated within the World Premium platform ("Platform," "we," "us," "our"). This Policy applies to every individual, artist, business, or organization that uploads, releases, or manages audio content on World Music ("Artist," "Channel," "you"), across all content types including Songs, Podcasts, Audiobooks, Bhajan, Katha, Motivation Audio, News Audio, and Radio Programs, and any categories subsequently added by the Platform.
By uploading, releasing, or otherwise using World Music, you accept and agree to be bound by this Policy in its entirety, without modification. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
2. Definitions
- Release - the act of publishing audio Content to the World Music library following upload, metadata submission, and payment.
- Content - any audio file, cover art, or associated metadata submitted by an Artist for release.
- Channel - a dedicated profile through which a Company or Label manages all of its released Content.
- Violation - any breach of Section 3 (Content Standards) or any other provision of this Policy.
- Material Breach - a Violation that, in the Platform's reasonable judgment, is severe, repeated, or intentional in nature.
3. Content Standards
3.1 Eligible Content
An Artist may release only Content that is either originally created by that Artist or for which the Artist possesses documented, verifiable, and valid rights or licensing. Content must fall within a Platform-recognized category.
3.2 Prohibited Content
The following are strictly prohibited without exception:
(a) Content infringing the copyright or intellectual property rights of any third party, including unauthorized covers, remixes, or samples used without permission;
(b) Plagiarized or stolen content, including material released under false authorship;
(c) Hate speech, or lyrical/spoken content that incites violence or promotes discrimination based on religion, ethnicity, gender, caste, disability, or community;
(d) Sexually explicit or obscene audio content;
(e) False, fabricated, or materially misleading information, with heightened prohibition within News Audio content;
(f) Content depicting, promoting, or facilitating illegal activity.
The Platform may expand this list at its discretion and will make reasonable efforts to notify Artists of material updates in advance of enforcement.
3.3 Rights Confirmation
At the point of upload, the Artist must affirmatively confirm that the Content is original or that the Artist holds valid rights to release it. This confirmation is a binding representation under Section 8.
3.4 Content Review
All Content is subject to review prior to or following release, which may include automated copyright detection (e.g., audio fingerprinting, where available) and manual review for higher-risk categories (News Audio, Religious content). The Platform retains an unconditional, unilateral right to remove any Content - pre- or post-release - immediately and without prior notice upon identifying a Violation.
4. Release Terms
4.1 Release Process - Release requires, in sequence: (a) audio upload, (b) metadata submission, (c) payment of the applicable release fee. Content is not published to the library until payment is confirmed.
4.2 Scheduling - Artists may schedule a Release for a future date and time, subject to the Platform's standard review timelines.
4.3 Rejection - The Platform may reject a Release prior to publication if it determines, in its discretion, that the Content violates this Policy. Rejected Releases are handled per the refund terms in Section 5.
4.4 Post-Release Takedown - Content already released may be removed at any time if a valid copyright claim, Violation, or Material Breach is identified, including claims made by third parties after publication.
4.5 Editing - Metadata (title, cover art, description) may be edited post-release within Platform-defined limits. Replacement of the underlying audio file is treated as a new Release and may incur a new release fee.
4.6 Strike System - Repeated confirmed copyright or content Violations accrue against the Artist's account under a graduated strike system, which may culminate in suspension or permanent ban.
5. Pricing & Fees
5.1 Release Fee - A fee is charged per Release, which may vary by content type (Song, Podcast, Audiobook, etc.) as published by the Platform. Payment must be completed before the upload process is considered finalized.
5.2 Refund Matrix
| Circumstance | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Content rejected due to a confirmed Policy violation (Artist-caused) | No refund |
| Release fails due to a Platform-side technical fault (e.g., failed upload, duplicate charge) | Full refund |
| Refund request submitted within the applicable window | Reviewed per published refund schedule |
| Refund request submitted after the applicable window | No refund |
5.3 Price Changes - Future changes to release fees apply only to new Releases and do not retroactively affect Content already released.
6. Company/Label Channel Terms
6.1 One Channel Per Entity - Each Company or Label is permitted exactly one verified Channel on World Music.
6.2 Verification - Channel creation is subject to a verification process, requiring submission of company/label documentation as specified by the Platform.
6.3 Responsibility - The Company/Label is solely responsible for the rights clearance and Policy compliance of all Content released under its Channel.
6.4 Duplicate/Fraudulent Channels - Any attempt to create a duplicate or fraudulent Channel will result in suspension of the offending Channel(s), at the Platform's discretion.
7. Cross-Platform Usage (Shorts Integration)
7.1 Default Availability - Released audio is, by default, made available for use as sound in Shorts elsewhere on the Platform. Such use does not transfer ownership of the Content and remains subject to the rights granted by the Artist under this Policy.
7.2 Opt-Out - Where the Platform makes an opt-out mechanism available, an Artist may elect to exclude their Content from Shorts usage.
7.3 Usage Tracking - Reel/Shorts usage counts are tracked and made visible to the Artist/Channel via the Channel dashboard.
8. Artist/Creator Obligations & Warranties
By submitting Content, the Artist represents and warrants that:
(a) it holds all rights necessary to release the Content;
(b) the Content does not infringe any third-party right;
(c) the Content complies fully with Section 3;
(d) all submitted metadata is accurate.
Misrepresentation under this Section constitutes a Material Breach. Artists must respond promptly to any copyright or rights-related inquiry raised by the Platform.
9. Enforcement & Penalties
Violations are addressed on a graduated basis at the Platform's discretion, which may include: Content removal, Release rejection without refund, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of the Artist/Channel account. Material Breaches, or repeated Violations within a rolling period defined by the Platform, may result in immediate permanent termination without prior warning. Enforcement decisions are final except where applicable law requires review, appeal, regulatory action, or judicial intervention.
10. Platform Rights
The Platform reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion and without liability, to:
(a) review, approve, reject, or remove any Content or Release prior to or after publication;
(b) suspend or permanently terminate any Artist or Channel for breach of this Policy;
(c) amend this Policy at any time, with amendments effective upon publication and applying prospectively only.
Continued use of World Music following publication of an amended Policy constitutes acceptance of that amendment.
11. Listener Protections
11.1 Downloads - Audio downloaded under the Premium feature is licensed solely for use within the Platform application; external sharing, redistribution, or piracy is strictly prohibited.
11.2 Live Audio - Live content (Radio, Podcast, Bhajan, Discussions) is subject to Section 3 in full.
11.3 Reporting - Listeners may report Content believed to violate this Policy via the in-platform reporting mechanism; all reports are reviewed under standard Platform moderation procedures.
12. General Provisions
- Severability - If any provision of this Policy is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
- No Waiver - Failure by the Platform to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Entire Policy - This Policy, together with any referenced pricing/refund schedules, constitutes the entire agreement between the Platform and the Artist/Channel with respect to World Music.
13. Distribution License Clause
By uploading Content, the Artist grants World Premium a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, distribute, stream, display, promote, and make the Content available through World Music and related Platform services.
14. AI-Generated Music Clause
AI-generated or AI-assisted Content must be accurately disclosed where required by the Platform. Content that falsely claims human authorship or ownership may be removed.
15. Copyright Counter-Notice Process
Artists may submit a counter-notification where they believe a copyright claim was made in error. The Platform may restore Content if the claim is withdrawn or found invalid.
16. Royalty & Revenue Disclaimer
Release of Content does not automatically entitle an Artist to revenue sharing, royalties, or monetization unless separately approved under a specific monetization program.
17. Metadata Fraud Clause
False artist names, fake collaborations, misleading metadata, impersonation of public figures, labels, or brands are strictly prohibited.
18. Explicit Content Labeling
Artists must accurately label explicit content where required. Failure to properly classify explicit content constitutes a Violation.
19. Indemnification Clause
The Artist agrees to indemnify and hold harmless World Premium, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and partners against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from the Artist’s Content or breach of this Policy.
20. Force Majeure
The Platform shall not be liable for interruptions, delays, outages, data loss, or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
21. Record Retention
The Platform may retain Content, metadata, moderation records, upload logs, and rights-related documentation for compliance, legal, audit, security, and dispute-resolution purposes.
22. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising under this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
